Esophagography is required.
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for choosing "Ask a Doctor" service for your query,
Have seen your details,
Most common causes of dysphagia is Acid peptic disorder and not muscle weakness.
Repeated reflux causes injury to esophagus causing a condition called Achalasia in which swallowing food is difficult.
I would suggest you to go for esophagogram. This test would check the strength of muscle.
Thank you.

When ever I eat food I feel like it’s getting blocked or gets held up and then I chew a little bit more and then it goes in.
I also have a constant feeling of mucus or something in the back of my throat and no matter what I do it’s not going away. Sometimes I feel it gets chocked and then I have to cough. I also feel my voice is bit hoarse now.
Can anxiety cause all such physical symptoms?
Not sure what to do, I have an ent appointment in 2 weeks time.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
Considering the scale of your problem I would suggest you to go for a repeat endoscopy to rule out a condition called achalasia cardia.
In this there is narrowing of lower esophageal tube hence to swallow food is difficult but water passes easily.
Dysphagia is usually progressive.
Follow up with reports of endoscopy.
Thanks!

Thanks!

So for dinner today had little to no issue in terms of swallowing. The trouble is when it was hitting the throat in the oropharynx area, the throat feels really scratchy and irritated now. But again no real issues with swallowing just scratchy throat now

Detailed Answer:
Hi as explained earlier the acid regurgitated back causes inflammation of mucosal layer of throat this causes mild breach in mucosa hence when food passes through it causes pain or a scratchy feeling.
Again you should try proton pump inhibitors with prokinetic agent.
Hope I answered your query well,

After about a week or so i finally had a normal swallowing meal. So should this in itself rule out dysphagia or should I still go ahead and get a swallow study or endoscopy done?
Also today after eating yogurt my throat was kind of burning, and had to double swallow like some of the yogurt I had to bring bang to the mouth and then swallow is that normal?

One more thing I would like to add some pieces of food seem to be sticking and some don’t. Then after the meal, have a sensation of sore throat or food being stuck in my throat.
Do you think this is sign of dysphagia?

Detailed Answer:
Hello I don't think that it's dysphagia as it would be equal for all foods.
Secondly yoghurt contains citric acid which further supports the fact that you are having acid peptic disorder.
Thanks.
