Brief Answer:
Yes.It appears to be nerve palsy.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

Of course! It is a focal neuropathy. Radial neuropathy presents with wrist drop. You are probably having the same.It is a pressure palsy.
You need to be on short course of steroids along with anti-neuralgic medicines and methylcobalamin.
Nerve conduction studies(NCS) in upper limbs will help establish the diagnosis(though the results may not reflect in initial 48 hours).
Please get the NCS done and start the treatment as discussed above.PLEASE TAKE MEDICINES UNDER A PHYSICIAN'S SUPERVISION ONLY.

Hope that I have answered your query. If you have some further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up,else please close the thread, rate it and write a review as your rating will be of help to me.

Brief Answer:
Neurologist.This is a pressure palsy.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for being in follow-up.

A Neurologist will examine you and guide the Nerve conduction studies. Please visit the one and start the treatment soon under his guidance.

It is due to excessive sustained pressure to the arm in sleep which compressed the underlying nerve causing nerve palsy. This may happen commonly in those who go to deep sleep after a heavy dose of alcohol.

Hope that I have answered your query. If you have some further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up,else please close the thread, rate it and write a review as your rating will be of help to me.
