Hepatitis B and Epstein-Barr virus are the most frequently reported causes. Other incriminated viruses are hepatitis A, hepatitis non A-non B, cytomegalovirus, coxsackie, adenovirus, enterovirus, rotavirus, rubella, HIV and parainfluenza.
