Brief Answer:
Due to rapid transit of stool.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

The green color of stool occurs due to rapid transit through large intestine where the bile pigments do not get adequate time to convert to the yellow color of stool. Please mention if the frequency of passage of stool has been increased. I would insist you to get the stool tested for routine microscopy and culture. Thereafter let me know, I would guide you accordingly.

Give him ORS (Oral rehydration solution) to replenish the salts and fluid lost. This is very important.

Kindly note that dietary contents may also reflect upon the color of stool. I would need to ask you whether the child is taking plenty of green leafy vegetables in diet.

I would await your response.

His frequency has not changed at all, usually 1x per day. He doesn't not eat any vegetables, nothing green.

Brief Answer:
Stool test needs to be done.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

In that case just get the stool tested (for routine microscopy and occult blood test, no need to go for culture) and upload the reports thereafter. I will guide you accordingly.
