Brief Answer:
no need of any protein powder

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case and I think you have gone through this surgery in 4 months back. A complete recovery of ACL surgery take 9 months. After that you can plan running and jumping.
I do not think that protein powder can increase your recovery. I would recommend you to take egg and pulses. Because you have asked, Protein x is a good powder, taken with milk. But I would recommend a balance diet.
You should concentrate more on your physiotherapy.
I do not think that this is right time for going to GYM. This can cause early ligament failure. So following exercises are recommended for you.
1. Static quadriceps
2. Hamstring strengthening
3. Active knee ROM
4. No running and jumping
I hope this answer will help you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
thanks

Hi Doc,

Thanks for your guidance.

Following are few more details:
I am going exercises suggested by my Physio at home. He has advice to start gym.
I have started gym last week. I am doing leg curl, leg extension and calf raise with minimal weights.

Could you please specify exactly which brand of Protein X would be good.

Brief Answer:
Avoid any heavy weight for leg

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I just want to caution you against any heavy weight exercises for knee. This is the time when ligament is not very strong.
Protein X is it self brand name.
Though these protein powders are not much help and personally I never recommend them.
thanks
