About use of novelon: If you are on novelon and take it regularly there is no need to use any other protection. However if you miss more than one pill then the efficacy of the treatment is decreased. Repeatedly missing pills and taking them late will also decrease the efficacy of pills and they may not protect against pregnancy. So please check and inform me about how many pills you have missed in the second pack and the dates of missed pills. For future please remember if you miss more than 2 pills, you need to use another contraceptive method in that cycle.
