Question : I am facing heavy head (Mild Pain) at times at the left back of my head, the heaviness lasts for sometime like 10 Mins. I had an MRI done three years back to check for any SCHWENOMAS (As I have multiple schwenommas (In my leg, Axilla) in which none was found in head but two were observed in my back in cauda equina. Please suggest if it is of some concern

Brief Answer:
MRI rules out structural causes - secondary headaches.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Since when do you have such headaches? Did you have them before MRI of the brain was performed? If yes, then it rules out structural causes of headaches (secondary headache). And therefore the cause is primary which can be treated with medications by your neurologist. You need not be overly worried.

Schwannomas are benign conditions and do not cause serious problems unless they are quite large. And such larger ones are removed surgically. You can follow up with a neurosurgeon who will monitor the progress of these tumors and treat it as and when needed.

Hope this answered your question. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Regards
