Question : Hi I have blood of 180/80, just back from doctor already on lopresser. He prescribed new medicine to use with lopresser. I have multiple autoimmune disorders, LUPUS, RA, Phospolitic Antiboties (clotting disorder), this is very high 99%+ on reading. I am concerned and scheduled to have two surgeries back to back. Spinal Fusion, and thyroid removal. Any thoughts

Brief Answer:
2 or more drugs needed / good control must before surgery

Detailed Answer:
Hi friend
Welcome to Health Care Magic

You certainly need a second drug / probably a third too – most people need three drugs / some even a fourth… We aim for an upper figure (Systolic) to be 140 or less / to 130
You may also need assessment of kidney function, as a routine, when the pressure is up…
Your surgery cannot be done at this level of pressure – you will have to wait until it is controlled
You seem to be in good hands… Keep following up with your doctor

Good luck
God bless you
