Brief Answer: No specific contraindication in the literature Detailed Answer: Dear XXXXXXX Thanks for the query. After the 2009 recall, Hydroxycut was reformulated and placed back on sale, and the FDA confirmed that the only ingredient left from prior formulations was caffeine, but still has some herbal contents whose potential interactions have not been tested against blood thinners, so the short on that one would be that we don't have enough information to completely ensure there are no interactions. That being said, since the modern Hydroxycut's main active ingredient is caffeine, you would be better off choosing caffeine pills that come as only one ingredient, caffeine, and thus decrease risk of interactions. However, do remember that caffeine increases heart rate and in some susceptible individuals increases the risk of arrhythmias. Hope this helps, wish you the best, Dr Brenes-Salazar MD Mayo Clinic MN Cardiology
