I am suffering from Hypothyroidism since last 5 years. Currently I am taking 75mcg dose of Thyronorm medicine as per doctor's suggestion. Please answer my below questions.
1) How frequently one shall check/test for TSH?
generally I do check test after every 3-4 months. and if my TSH is within the limits I don't cist the doctor and if TSH is above limit, I do visit doctor.
2) Any suggestions (DOS/DONTS) for hypothyroidism. Please suggest.
3) Please suggest any books on hypo thyroidism?

Good evening XXXXXXX
to answer your queries specifically.
1. One should check for TSH test once in every 6 months. If you do it every 3 to 4 months also, it is fine. But do it atleast once in every 6 months.
2. Do a lot of exercise. Do not take Goitrogens in excess like cabbage, cauliflower, brocolli, flax seeds.
3. Try this book on Hypothyroidism; it is good - Stop Hypothyroidism: Take Control of Your Thyroid & Restore Your Health Naturally (Natural Health & Natural Cures) by XXXXXXX Weil.
