Brief Answer:
Psychiatrist evaluation needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Tourette's syndrome is a psychiatric disorder that is easily identifiable because of tics.

Tics are characteristic involuntary movements and vocal tics are involuntary words or noises.

In some cases a patient with Tourette syndrome manifests movements and/or vocal tics similar to sexual behavior.

More than a half of patients suffering from Tourette's, manifest additional psychiatric conditions such obsessive compulsive disorder.

It is difficult to hide this condition, because the tics can happen anywhere and the patient cannot control them. (at least not entirely)

So, if you have doubts about your friend is suffering from Tourette's syndrome, the only way to help is to provide medical evaluation by a Psychiatrist and treatment.

Treatment consists on use of drugs such antidepressants or antipsychotics and behavioral therapy.

Deep brain stimulation also is an option for patients resistant to conventional therapy.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.
