Is Ingestion Of Melted Plastic Harmful?

Question: I made a roast tonight and accidentally left the absorbent pad on it. Didn't notice until we were done eating. for the most part it was still intact, it had come apart but was still all one piece with no melted parts. Nervous about effects it will have on unborn baby.
