Is Injury In The Duct Possible With Symptom Of Brown Discharge From The Breast?

default
Posted on Fri, 9 Feb 2024
Question: I was checking my breasts this morning, and a brown liquid came out of one duct. I can't make the liquid come out again. My breast also hurts. Admittedly, I was also messing with the ducts of my breast last week. Is it possible I just injured a duct, or is this most likely breast cancer?

Brief Answer:
You should get investigaed

Detailed Answer:
Hi
As per your description,it looks like some fluid has come out of a single duct.It could be due to trauma that you caused.
In few cases of Cancer Breast, there will be Bloody discharge from the nipple.
I prefer a Mammogram for any suspicious lesion in the Breast. Then, further investigations can be done.
Please consult a Breast surgeon and proceed further.
Nothing to worry.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions,I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
