Brief Answer:

About type 2 Diabetes;

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Patients obese or overweight with type 2 Diabetes have an excellent response to weight loss.

First of all, I would congratulate for the weight loss and ensure you that A1c should be far better this month.

Metformin and exenatide improve the A1c levels in overweight patients and this is clearly seen in your case.

What is problematic in these cases, is the fact that many patients regain the weight after some months, so you should do the utmost to maintain the actual weight or probably to lose more (if you are still overweight).

Not only you won't need insulin but you may take off exenatide if you get back to normal weight.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
