Question : hlo doctor...I m 23 yrs old married since 4 months..had irregular and excessive bleeding during menstruation..and was diagnosed to have pcod.so to make my periods regular..dr gave me T.krimson..I took 2 courses of it...now I started my 1st course of T. ovral G.now 11 tablets are left in that course..does having intercourse during the intake of T.ovral G affect my future fertility...actually we are planning to have a baby..my husband is out of station and will come home once in a week...this time he excitingly got 1 week leave..so can we have intercourse while I am in T.ovral G.and after this tablet got over how can we plan for a baby..does having intercourse weekly once is enough to conceive.

Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Having intercourse during intake of Ovral G will not affect your future fertility.
But as long as you are taking Ovral G, you would not conceive since it acts as a birth control pill.
After the tablets are over, you need to remain sexually active without pills to be able to conceive.
Having intercourse once a week is not adequate for conception.
You need to remain sexually active every alternate day from the 10th day onwards of your cycle.
With PCOD, your periods may be irregular.
If you do not conceive within 6 months, you have to consult a doctor and get follicular monitoring done to know the exact days of ovulation, and remain sexually active on those days.
