Brief Answer:
Perimenopause - irregular or late period is common.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear,

Thanks for writing to us. I understand your concern.

1) At this age (46 yrs), period may become sometimes irregular or late due to hormonal imbalance and decreased ovarian function. These are features of perimenopause. It is a transitional period before actual menopause.

2) Two weeks late period from regular date is NOT much problematic if you are NOT sexually active currently. You may undergo hysterectomy within 6 months or soon. Late period is NOT a barrier for this operation. You should consult with your treating doctor regarding this to consider right time for hysterectomy.

Hope, I have answered your query. Wish your good health and take care.
