Is it OK to put a lidocaine patch on an area that has a small puncture wound? The wound has been properly cleaned at the emergency room.
I am taking antibiotics

Since the wound has been cleaned properly, you can put the lidocaine patch on the area. The absorption of the drug may be faster if it an open wound. If it is a small puncture wound only then it will not affect the rate of absorption of the drug.
