Question : Hi,
I normally take amlodipine and ibersartain for my blood pressure but was out of the medication this morning.
In taking my blood pressure around 6;45PM it was 169/98 so I took o.1mg clonidine which I have a prescription for in case of emergency. It lowered pressure to 158/88 and now I notice at 11:20 pressure is 162/95
Is it OK to take another clonidine?

Brief Answer:
You will have to take it 0.1 mg 2-3 times a day
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
So you can have it as 0.1 mg two to three times a day depending upon the need. So better to repeat the next dose after 6-8 hours. You may 0.2 mg as well but since bp is not very much elevated, it's better to go gradual as it may cause hypotension so better to avoid 0.2 mg. If bp shoots above 180 then may have.
Hope this helps you and get back if you have any doubts .
