Question : Hi, I am in metronidazole and accidentally I had a fish with a sauce cooked with white wine. I feel ok, it was 2 hours ago and I have just realised. Is it dangerous? If i dont have any side effects now will it be ok?
Brief Answer:
Yes if you don’t have side effects till now ,but never repeat in future
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear
Any alcohol with any antibiotic or with metronidazole can produce side effects. At least even after 3 days of last tablet taken avoid wine or alchol . It can produce nausea or vomiting ,fast heart beat ,flushing ,dizziness, fever, stiffness etc . I would recommend still even you don’t have any symptoms, once you get checked your vitals from nearby hospital and never repeat in future and also tell this to prescribing doc.as it can be dangerous to life even.hope this helps.
Thanks.
