Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Although you have stable lipid levels, you still seem to have a cardiac condition. Sildenafil is a prescription medication which is known to complicate cardiac conditions and so you have to discuss with your treating physician whether it would be safe for you to take.

If there is no heart ailment involved, sildenafil may be used after evaluating blood pressure.

Brief Answer:
Sildenafil is known to worsen heart ailments

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.

Please go through:
http://circ.ahajournals.org/content/99/1/168.full
which reads that sildenafil:
'is potentially hazardous include those with active coronary ischemia; those with congestive heart failure and borderline low blood volume and low blood pressure status; those with complicated, multidrug, antihypertensive therapy regimens'

The primary side effect of concern is getting a heart attack. That is the reason, I advocated discussing it with your doctor. It is not that every patient with a heart ailment will have a heart attack with sildenafil. But since I am not your treating physician, I am not in a position to give your clearance about use of the medicine. I cannot suggest you any alternatives either.

But before going into requirement of alternatives or sildenafil, I need to ask you whether you have impotence? If not, you do not really need sildenafil. It just helps you to get an erection but does not help in a better love life. For a better love life you have to prolong the foreplay which can maximize the arousal and thereby the sexual gratification. Emotional involvement plays a key role in this regard.

Hope that helps.
