Is It Irreversable My Husband Has GGT Level Of 800 ?

Question: Hi, my husband has GGT level of 800 and liver function at 101, his bilirubin is within range and phosphatase too. He use to drink regularly heavy. He has stopped now, is there a chance for recovery. He is worried that he has cirrhosis, which is irreversable.

AST was 102 ALT was 101

SERUM ALBUMIN was 34 SERUM ALKALINE PHOSPHATE was 76

An ultra sound has not been carried out.

Hi,
If so I believe you are mentioning it in grams per liter.
The albumin and the platelet values do not indicate he has cirrhosis.
An ultrasound scan or a fibroscan may be done which will show the status of the liver.

If you could upload the report copy, it would be better.
I would have a look at all the results and give my opinion.
