Question : 1 year old baby having running nose since 3 days, climate is also little cold at nights. We are using Nasoclear drops and Citirizine drops (0.4 ml twice a day). Due to running nose, she is not sleeping well and eating food. Any advice to improve her condition. Do you suggest any Nebulizer treatment.

Brief Answer: Nebulizer only if excessive secretions Detailed Answer: Hi Thanks for writing to health care magic. Running nose is usually viral and it is pretty common in this season. You need to continue saline drops for the nose and cetrizine drops orally. You can try steam inhalation ,plain steam only twice a day for few minutes. Nebulizer (saline nebulisation) is given if there are excessive secretions or whhezing or breathing difficulty. Cold should settle in a couple of days, do not worry . Regards Dr Arun
