Brief Answer:
No need to do blood test before vaccinating your child.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Universal hepatitis B vaccination is recommended by WHO.
Normally blood tests are not required before injecting Hepatitis B injection.
You can follow 1, 2 and 6 months schedule.
Booster dose is not necessary.
Transmission occurs from mother to child (vertical transmission) or through blood or blood products(horizontal transmission).
If you suspect recent exposure to Hepatitis B give HBIG also 32-48 IU/kg body weight.
