Brief Answer:
Go for morning sample around 8 AM.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The progesterone ovulation test can be done empty stomach or even after meals. Progesterone level is usually checked six to eight days after you ovulate (about day 21 of a day 28 cycle). This is because progesterone levels rise following ovulation, peaking five to nine days after ovulation.
It is best to go empty stomach in the morning hours to get the highest levels of progesterone in your blood.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
