Question : My daughter 6month plus was having fever earlier in day 101.1 .we visited doctor and she suspecr flu and gave her medicine.

We have given her meftal p at 20:45 2ml and wikoryl 0.7ml at 00:00 hr .we measured her temperature at 04:45 in morning and it shows 95.8 to 96.0

Is it normal for baby to have such low temp after taking meftal p and wikoryl?

Often seen. Not a cause for concern unless the child is lethargic.

I have gone through your query and understand your concerns.

Your child is possibly suffering from a viral infection. In such cases, it is quite usual to have the core temperature high but with peripheral vasoconstriction leading to the recording of low temperatures when measured. There could be an additional component of the surrounding temperature as contributed by the AC. But it is not due to the medicines.

Please monitor the child. Keep her well covered. Monitor activity. If she seems lethargic it would be a good idea to get her blood counts and CRP checked.

One more query
I also noticed this morning that sometimes when see move her right leg there seems to a jerk like sound like shifting of gear .

Is this some sort of muscle cramps,stiffness?
