Question : So I was admitted to the hospital a few days ago for a hypertensive crisis my blood pressure has been very high for quite some with no symptoms, 210/118, been receiving treatment now and it has come down however it is all over the place way high and way low currently taking lisinopril 40mg alomipine 0.5mg and clonidine 0.1mg when my blood pressure is low it drops to 98/52 and with that I do not feel well at all really tired with absolutely no energy but also have backache around the middle of my back? When my blood pressure goes back up the backache goes away is this normal?

Brief Answer:
Please refer to the detailed answer below

Detailed Answer:
Hello Ma’am

I have carefully gone through the medical details provided by you and I can understand your concern. Here I would like to tell you that whenever blood pressure goes below 100 systolic many patients do experience variable symptoms like dizziness, chest discomfort, unease, sense of not being well. So probably that could be the reason in your case too.

I would like to tell you that as your bp is falling below 100 systolic so the dose of the medicine needs to be adjusted along with strict and regular blood pressure monitoring and charting. You can reduce the dose from 40 mg to 20 mg along with bp monitoring.

I hope this information will guide you properly

Kind Regards
