pain, not anymore, im on antibiotics do to a strep throat, amoxicillin 500mg, diabities and high blood pressure, not that im aware, but it does run in my family

As you are taking antibiotic therapy so you just need to wait & observe. Meanwhile following measures will help you in early recovery:
- dont touch that area with dirty hands
- apply polyfax plus ointment over that area thrice a day.
- wash hands before & after touching it.
