Question : Hello Dr,
I have been getting my regular periods from past 1 years, however my cycle range is from 35 to 40 days.
I have read that a normal period cycle range from 28 to 30 days.
Request you to advice if this stretched period cycle is normal or I need to take some medicine?

I will not be overly worried if your periods occur regularly even if it occurs 35 - 40 days interval. Irregularly irregular periods needs to be evaluated and addressed.

Do you have any other symptoms besides long menstrual cycle?

Yes initially it was not regular, however from past 1 year it has been regular.

Hi,

If cycles are regular then I would not be overly concerned. Normally a menstrual cycle can be anywhere between 25 to 35 days and should happen regularly. You fall under the group of women who have lengthy menstrual cycle. However at any point, if cycles become irregular you should be evaluated by gynecologist.
