Question : Is it normal to have white patches in tonsil fossa? I've done tonsilwctomy 13 years ago but I did not pay attention to this patches so I dont know if they were there or they just appeared recently!

Thank you, have you seen the photo Ive uploaded? So are these patches remain for ever since it's been 13 years That I've done the surgery and unfortunately when I've did that I experienced bleeding one week later and had to go tu surgery room again...

I had gone through the image.
The findings:
- The pharyngeal wall is congested and granular.
- Anterior tonsillar pillars congested.
- The whitish patch seen on the right side could be submucous fibrosis. Not related to your tonsillectomy.
I recommend the following.
1) A course of antibiotics.
2) Analgesic like tablet paracetamol, if you have any pain.
3) Salt water gargling. Add a pinch of salt to glass of warm water.
4) Avoid spicy food.
5) Avoid smoking and using tobacco. If you don't have this habit, kindly ignore this suggestion.
