Question : movantik was added to my meds because of resistant constipation, is it ok to use with my already prescribed linzess in the same day?

Linzess would normally be held for at least a few days.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Normally with Movantik, all maintenance laxative therapy, including linzess, would be stopped until it is seen what response you will have to the Movantik. If you continue to have constipation while on the Movantik after 3 days, your other medications to constipation can be added back, I would normally add them back gradually to avoid doing too much and having diarrhea. So while I would check with your doctor, as they would know your history best and may have another plan, until you can reach them I would hold your linzess at least for a few days when you start the Movantik.
