Is It Okay To Take Hydrocodone Acetaminophen For Pain And Discomfort?

I will be 79 in a few hours. I am being treated for cirrhosis of the liver with the VA Medical System.
On June 30, I hurt my back for a third time in past four years. The first time resulted in a cracked T-7 vertebra with a lot of pain. Treatment was to do little or nothing and let the crack heal, which it eventually did.

The second time was similar to the first and was resolved the same way. It involved cracking my T-11 vertebra. and was due to lifting something too heavy as was the first incident. Again, a lot of pain until the crack self-healed.

Foolishly, I brought on a third incident, which seems to be a reinjury of the T-7 cracked vertebra. No Dr. Appointment until July 26.

I am taking extra strength Tylenol (two tablets of 500 mg)., but have had a difficult time getting a place to sleep comfortably at home and go through "hell" in the mornings, when getting our of bed, and also throughout the day with certain movements of my body or coughing or sneezing.

QUESTION: I have a few Hydrocodone Acetaminophen 5-325 mg tablets from a kidney stone episode last March, 2018. Is it OK to take one or some of these tablets tonight and tomorrow, and until I see my back doctor on July 26?
