I'm having heavy pain in right ear. Showed it to one of the ENT doctor nearby and she said it's an ear infection and asked me to get admitted.
I would like to have a second opinion as I believe ear infection could be cured using anti biotic as well.. please let me know

You can try oral medication for 48-72 hours before deciding for admission.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. Admission may be advised by the treating doctor for severe ear infection, resistant infections, pain, swelling, in patients who have decreased immunity (such as a diabetic) or if the patient cannot tolerate oral medication (such as diarrhea, rashes, abdominal discomfort) among other reasons.
2. You can try an antibiotic (and supportive medication) for 48-72 hours. If there is a good response, there is no need for admission but you may have to get the ear examined and cleaned if necesary.
3. If there is no response or there is a worsening of symptoms, get a routine blood test, ear swab, change of antibiotics or get admitted as advised.
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.
Regards
