Posted on Thu, 19 Mar 2015
Question: Please tell me...me and my gf had unprotected sex and she took ipill
Within 12 hours. However just after she took Ipill we again had unprotected sex. Does the ipill work in such case or should she take another pill. Also her menstrual period started around ten days back.is there a chance she might be pregnant.
However in both the times I had released my penis from her vagina at the time of ejaculation.

Brief Answer:
no chance of pregnancy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.

I can understand your concerns.

With your description, i think there are no chances of pregnancy for two reasons:

1. Your gf took ipill within 12 hours of unprotected intercourse. The pill would work best. There is no need to take another ipill though second intercourse was following I pill use.
2. Since you did not ejaculate inside her vagina, this makes pregnancy impossible.

Hope this helps.

Brief Answer:
no chances of pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
No, there are no chances that few drops cause pregnancy. Also she has taken ipill,so this further reduces the chances.

The most common side effects of ipill are
nausea/vomiting,
"spotting" or breakthrough bleeding,
headaches,
dyspepsia/gastritis,
early or delayed periods.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
no long term adverse health effects.

Detailed Answer:
The ipill can cause early or delayed periods. There might be some menstrual irregularities for 1-2 cycles. There periods may come a week early or a week late.
But the cycle will regularise after that.

There no long term adverse health effects of ipill.

It does not interfere with future pregnancy and does not cause problems for future pregnancy.

Hope this helps.

Hoping for positive feedback from you.

Take care.

Thanks.
