Question : In 2006, I had a posterior L5-S1 spinal fusion. Pain did not subside. I had both sides of the hardware removed. No relief still, but new MRI revealed a fracture in the L5-S1 fusion that was unable to be seen with the hardware still in. In 2010, I had spinal fusion redone via anterior/posterior procedure. No relief still. Had left hardware removed- no relief. In 2014, I was diagnosed with Arachnoiitis in the L4, L5, S1 region.
Pain is unbearable. Next week is the Spinal Stimulator trial??? We will se...

My question is "Is is possible to severe the spinal canal above the Arachnoiditis and still live a reasonable life without the pain?

Arachnoiditis can not be treated with surgery but L3 canal stenosis decompression can be done surgically.

You can take electro stimulation for arachnoiditis.

You need to take urgent treatment as this pain may worsen without treatment.
