Question : is it possible to test positive to chlamydia but actually not have it. I was recently tested positive for it but nor me or my new partner of about 2 months, arent and haven't shown any symptoms.

Chlamydia is tested by the NAA test. This test search for bacteria's genetic material it is very rare to have positive results and don't have it.

Sometimes chlamydia doesn't show any signs of infection. Also, it needs 2 you 21 days to show signs and symptoms.

There is good possibility that you don't show symptoms at all because most people are asymptomatic.
There is a great risk that if you let it untreated you can develop pelvic inflammatory disease (infection of fallopian tubes and uterus).
