Question : Had a colonoscopy in January which was negative. Also had pelvic mri in January to diagnose a fistula. Last week had seton surgery and doc also removed a 1 centimeter growth he felt after DRE. After seton surgery he said he is pretty sure it is benign. What makes him think that?
Brief Answer:
The biopsy will show if it is benign
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Firstly the colonoscopy and the MRI to not show multiple growths but only the one he felt on DRE.
Also the biopsy of the growth will clarify if it is benign or not.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks.

He removed during seton surgery. Did Doc try to get clean margins? If so, is that the treatment?
