Question : My husband is treated for Staphylococcus epidermidis. Our first grandchild is being born later this week. Are there precautions we should be taking to protect a newborn; is it safe for us to visit?

Unfortunately, Staph active infection is highly contagious. I would recommend that you postpone this visit until full recovery.
