Question : Hii
I recovered from jaundice last month. Taking juices and healthy food.avoiding Nonveg and alcohol.taking liver 52 ds daily. How long should i wait to start drinking,though i am not heavy drinker i drink once in a month or two and that also very light.

It depends on the severity of your Jaundice and also a repeat test has to be done to know if your Jaundice has resolved or not .

My advise to you is get a repeat Liver function test done and revert back to me with the report.

I have done it today, sgot sgpt and bilurubin is all normal and in the limits. My question is how long should i wait to start drinking.

If the cause for your Jaundice was due to Alcohol intake then I advise you not to re start alcohol at all . But if it was due to other causes then you can start consuming moderate amount of alcohol after 2 WEEKS.

I dont know that it was due to alcohol or not,because i dint drink to much alcohol ever. Doctor told that it is due to infected water. And it cured in 15 days only. After 1 month all my reports came normal.
