Question : Hi , In 2007 I had my gallbladder taken out, a few days later I ended up with 2 blood clots to my lung .. I was on warfarin for approx. 6 months ..I have had no more problems with clots .. Now in 2014 I want to go get a tattoo .. Do you think it would be safe?
Brief Answer:
tattoo shouldn't be a problem
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Getting a tattoo should be safe. Tattooing itself is not directly related to clots in the lungs.
Had you still been on warfarin it could have caused problems of bleeding.
Did you have clots in your legs after the surgery? If yes then be careful while getting a tattoo over the legs ( see that the tattoo artist follows proper antiseptic procedures).
Hope this helps
Regards.
