Is It Safe To Give Formula Feed Along With Breast Milk?

Question: My baby doesnt seem to be geeting sufficient with breast milk.He is 15 days old and weighing 4kgs(4.2 at birth).Is is ok to mix formula feed along with breast milk.How often Can I give?Also any precaustions to be taken care-of

Probably you are mistaken.

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Normally the baby loses 10% of birth weight during first week.
The baby again regains the birth weight by 15 days.
Your baby has almost gained the birth weight.
There after the baby gains 30 gms/day or 200 gms/week upto 3 months.
Hence it is too early for you to say that your milk is not sufficient.
