Question : I had a allergic reaction to Lisinopril 10mg. I had been on it for about 6 years. My Dr has switched me to Benicar 40mg. I only take one other thing - Atorvastatin 20mg. I just started it two days ago and I am out of town. The 40mg sounded like a lot . How does the 10mg Lisinopril compare to benicar 40mg? The first day I took it I was so sluggish.

Usually 20 mg Benicar is equal to 10 mg Lisinopril.
You can take 20 mg Benicar in the morning, if you notice you have elevated blood pressure during the day, you can take another 20 mg in the evening. But I think 20 mg will be enough to control your blood pressure.
