Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
There are no known interactions between these medications.
Latuda is an atypical antipsychotic medication that was originally used in persons with schizophrenia only but like other atypical antipsychotics it has found other uses particularly in persons with bipolar mood disorder.
These two medications can be used together.
If you still have concerns regarding either one of the meds, you may want discuss your concerns with her doctor.
It is understandable to worry about potential side effects and interactions of medications.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

                                    Brief Answer:
other meds in family act similarly
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Medication can cause weight gain in different ways.
It cause the releases of chemicals that increase appetite, decreases fullness in the stomach, decrease energy levels , alter metabolism.
Xanax causes wt gain in some persons and others may report weight loss. Other medications in this family may have a similar effect as xanax.
Since xanax and possibly any other medications can affect weight by altering appetite/fullness/ metabolism, you can counteract this by using foods less likely to cause weight gain even if usedin excess.
This would mean increasing use of fruit and vegetables, using only low calorie drinks, using and having access to only healthy snacks.
Since meds also cause wt gain by affecting energy , would need to purposely find ways to burn energy.
