Question : Hi there. My placenta has a 7cm by 2cm tear. I've been in bed rest for almost 6 weeks. The bleeding/old blood has almost completely stopped. My sex drive has been extremely high and I'm afraid orgasm would cause the tear more. What are you thoughts on this? Would non-intercourse orgasm be a danger at this point? The tear had healed to 5.8cm as of 3 weeks ago.

Non intercourse orgasm can be harmful.

Even if the bleeding has stopped and the tear would have healed, an orgasm will cause uterine contractions. This can be harmful for a recently torn placenta.
It is best to avoid the foods that increase the sex drive and do relaxation exercises like deep breathing exercises.
