Brief Answer:
yes better to go ahead

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Yes do it ASAP. There are two reasons why I say it
1. Cancer prevention
There is an overall consensus that early orchidopexy is beneficial for future fertility and may be protective against the increased risk for testicular cancer in undescended testis patients. In particular, optimal testicular function is most likely achieved when the surgery is performed before 2 years of age.
2. Cannot come down on its own at this age
After 6 months of age there is almost no chance of spontaneous decent without surgery.

So better go ahead and get it done by pediatric surgeon.
Wishing your child good health

Dr Arun
