Brief Answer:
Not possible.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for posting your query.

Medical induction for termination of pregnancy can be done only up to 9 weeks of pregnancy and surgical evacuation is needed after that period. Moreover, the whole process should be done under the surveillance of a specialist.

In the current scenario, if both of you do not wish to retain this pregnancy, please contact a specialist for a clinical evaluation and get a surgical evacuation done if she is deemed fit after a trans-vaginal sonogram, blood counts and urinalysis.

Hope I have clarified your query. Please feel free to contact for further information. I will be happy to help.

Brief Answer:
Not advisable.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing back.

Medical abortion is best done up to 7 weeks of pregnancy beyond which the chances of a complete abortion become lesser and after 9 weeks, it is absolutely not indicated.

This is because there are chances of an incomplete abortion, which can lead to heavy bleeding, infection and infertility problems in future.

So, please see a specialist for further help.

Hope I have answered your query. Please contact if you need further suggestions. I will be glad to do so.

Brief Answer:
None usually

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing back.

When a surgical evacuation is done by a specialist taking all the precautions, no complications usually occur. After the procedure, abstinence should be observed for at least two weeks and genital hygiene maintained. Before you attempt intercourse again, you should begin a contraceptive to suit your needs.

Hope I have clarified your query. Please contact if you need any more help. I will be glad to do so.

regards,
Shanti.V.
