Is It Safe To Stand At The Age Of 5 Months?

Question: hello doctor, my infant babyboy is 5 months and 10 days old. if we try to make him stand, he stands for 1-2 min with support n he enjoys it too. he can sit with support n trying to crawling since few days. Is it safe to stand for him at this age? will it affect his bones development?

Hi....sitting without or with support is perfect now. But if he himself gropes and stands with support it's fine, otherwise I don't suggest you should do it by yourself.

It is unnecessary and premature stress on spine.
