Question : I'm a 170 lb female with T2 diabetes. I don't have high bp or cholest. My A1c is 6.5. Do you think it's safe for me to start exercising? I'd like to run a 5k.

Brief Answer:
YES, Yes and Yes!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for using HCM.

Please, exercise is a major arm in the treatment of diabetes. This would help you get better controls as well as well as reduce the dosages of your medications. In a nuts shell, this would be a great way to markedly improve your overall quality of life. Go on and keep me updated as you enjoy the huge benefits associated with this. As you start exercise, be gentle and monitor blood sugars to know how much adjustments would be necessary before going full blown into exercising.

I hope this helps. If you need more information, please do not hesitate to ask more questions and we would gladly address them.
