Question : Hi my name is XXXXXXX .Im 49 yrs old and i have lupus and hypothyriods. Im taking plaquinel 200 mg 1 a day. And levothyroxine 100 mg daily. Can I also take actalin twice daily with meals. Will I be over medicatingmyself???
Brief Answer:
Hi and welcome
Detailed Answer:
Yes, you can take both but if you can get normal thyroid hormonal levels with levothyeoxine only, then there is no need for actalin. Its benefit is still questionable so you should continue with regular thyroid medications. You should also measure your t3 and t4 levels while taking actalin and stop it if there is too high value. WIsh you good health. Regards
