Brief Answer:
no such rule of taking maximum 2 pills in a year.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.
I understand your concerns.
Dear, there is no such rule that emergency contraceptives should be taken not more than twice in a year.
There are usually no long term side effects of morning after pills. But as these are hormonal preparations, these can disturb your cycle if you take them frequently.
One dose of pill will just be effective for one time after unprotected intercourse.
You would have to take another dose of pill whenever you have unprotected intercourse next.
If you took one pill two weeks ago, you can take another one now.
Hope this answers your query satisfactorily.
Take care.
Thanks.
