Brief Answer:
usually safe

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

the combination is usually safe. Lexapro may increase Toprol's effects by increasing metoprolol levels by up to 50%. Despite that, usually no significant side effect occurs. If you're using both you just have to monitor your blood pressure and heart rate to make sure they won't get too low.

Kind Regards!
